Mallock

The car was purchased from Guernsey where it had been campaigned on the hills for some years. The car was useable but quite scruffy.

We have set out to restore it to its former glory.  The car was totally stripped and the chassis was sent back to Mallock HQ to be jigged checked and straightened.

On its return it was sandblasted and resprayed in 2k satin black.  All suspension arms and components checked and rechromed. Hubs and anti-roll bars replated the suspension rehung using all new rose joints throughout. The steering rack was rebuilt and refitted. Shocks rebuilt, springs sandblasted and painted, steering column rechomed and fitted. A new wiring loom was made and fitted with new brake and fuel lined. New internal alloy panels fabricated and fitted. A new dash and centre tunnel were made. Front hubs rebuilt with new bearings, new drilled and grooved front brake discs fitted. New willwood front callipers, the ford rocket gear box totally stripped, rebuilt, painted and fitted.  Rebuilt prop shaft with new u/js. Diff rebuilt, refitted to axle with new quaif half shafts and twin bearing hubs. New rear discs and rear callipers fitted, new stainless steel brake hoses fitted and master cylinder rebuilt.

The engine is an all steel 1700 X flow which has been totally rebuilt comprising of 711 block, 12 bolt steel crank line bored block fitted with steel main caps. Dry sumped, high pressure oil pump, belt drive water pump, lightened steel rods and super light steel flywheel. Cosworth pistons A9 Cam, CTM head (large valves, tapered bronze guides, ported and skimmed). Steel rocker shafts and adjustable vernier timing gear. All rebuilt with A.R.P nuts and bolts approx. 180 bhp.

The car was fitted with a new 3 part sinterd clutch. 2 x 45 webers stripped and rebuilt. Custom exhaust system sandblasted, painted and fitted. A new light weight high torque started motor. New solid state battery was mounted in the rear of the car along with a new facet fuel pump.

There are 3 sets of wheel accompanying the car. The wheels that are on the car at the moment (that are pictured above) are spilt rim revolutions. The car was also fitted with a new rear defuser.

The body work repaired, re gell coated and resprayed. When the car was finished it was sent back to Mallocks to have the suspension and geometry set up, an omex rev. limiter with launch control was also fitted.

The car is on the button and ready to race. It is set up for hill climbs and sprints but is eligible for the classic clubman’s series, with only minor modifications like set up and a larger fuel tank required. The car has cost approximately £30k and comes with a Brian James Galvernised trailer 2 additional sets of wheels, another fully rebuilt gear box (different ratios), a rebuilt diff (different ratio) and spare suspension etc.

The car has a fully documented and photographic record of its rebuild.

This is an awesome car offered at a fraction of the rebuild cost. For sale due to change of plans. Inspection welcome.
