Previously the car had one owner for 31 years. In the ‘80’s the car was resprayed in it’s original colour lavender blue. The suspension was rebuilt, front brakes overhauled and a stainless steel exhaust system was fitted. The low mileage of 49,319 is believed to be correct as during this time the car was stored in a garage and had very little use due to the owner living overseas. The car has recently been recommissioned and work carried out as required to include; rear subframe removed, to enable rear brakes to be overhauled, suspension joints bushes, checked and greased. The rear subframe was then refitted, diff oil changed. The brake system was checked throughout. The brake servo was removed and rebuilt, brake master cylinder was rebuilt and brake fluid flushed and bled. The gear box oil changed, fuel pump rebuilt engine oil and filter changed, new spark plugs, water system flushed and refilled with hoses and clips as required. A new battery fitted, alternator rebuilt and a new regulator box was fitted. Various items were rechromed; bumpers, roof gutter mouldings, headlight surrounds, grill, screen surrounds etc. The engine bay was next cleaned and detailed and now looks amazing.
The car has 12 months MOT and 6 months tax. The engine has good oil pressure and runs superbly as it should.
The body is generally very good, and has never been patched or welded. There are some paintwork imperfections and a few minor rust spots and cracks. The interior is all original and in good condition, although showing a few signs of wear.
The car has a Jaguar Heritage Certificate and is an original right hand drive car, in it’s factory colour. The car has some history such as manuals and lots of invoices of work carried out.
This is a nice usable car but to make A1 condition the paintwork and interior require some work.
